If you guys are looking for accuracy, this is a sweet item. It’ a hydrometer in w/ a certified thermometer built in with the temp correction right on it. Just put it in warm or cold wort/beer, read the level and look at the thermometer scale to adjust. No conversion, plus it’s Plato for easy entry into Promash etc. I’ve been using this for a few months and love it. I actually recently got a narrow low range model for easier FG readings.
I found this to be considerably more accurate than refractometer and most cheap-o hydrometers. Of course, like an expensive pair of sunglasses, you need to a bit careful if you want to have nice things. It’s not going to instantly make your beer better or anything, but if you take the time and have the desire for accurate records, this is a great tool.
