Last winter I got this installed in the garage. It’s a hot/cold outdoor water faucet. This is a pretty cool faucet that’s made to be outdoors, and has hot and cold water on the same faucet.
Just having a dedicated faucet in the brewing area is a huge luxury. I run a 25-foot RV/boat hose off of it, and use for all brewing and cleaning water. I put a brass QD on the end, and swap between my spray hose, carbon filter, and chiller. Not having to haul water or wrangle hoses around the yard makes brewing much easier and faster. It also makes clean up a snap since I just hose off garage floor.
And that’s just cold water. Having hot water available is awesome for cleaning, because obviously everything cleans faster with hot water. The alternative is either bucketing the hot water or heat it in the brewery. To just have on-demand hot water is great stuff. Even more so in the winter. That bucket of Star-San gets pretty cold on the digits with cold tap water, but fill it with warm water it makes everything much easier.
