I was in Chicago over the weekend and tried Goose Island's 312 Urban Wheat. After Bells pulled up stakes in Illinois , I'd guess Goose Island put this out to fill the local void. The beer is a cloudy light straw, along the lines of yellow-beer. It seemed fairly dry, lightly bittered with citrus tones. The wheat was apparent, and the bitterness was fairly low, making very approachable. I enjoyed this one over a bucket of fried stuff at Bubba Gump's.
Oberon is maltier, while I'd guess 312 was straight wheat and American pale malt. Oberon also seemed more bitter, and of course has the signature Bell's funk.
