This is the recipe I posted for the Bell’s Two Hearted Ale write up. Pretty much anyways. I overshot the gravity by a bit. Looks like I boiled off more than usual. Also, I used an extra 1/2 oz of hops since I didn’t feel like packing up a 1/2 oz. And I couldn’t get Cal Ale, so I settled for Cal Ale V. I notched down the mash a couple degree to get it to dry out towards 1.015.
OG = 1.068
IBUs = 65
95% Maris Otter
05% Crystal 40
1.50 oz Centennial @ 60
1.00 oz Centennial @ 20
1.25 oz Centennial @ 10
1.25 oz Centennial @ 1
1.00 oz Centennial @ DH
Whirlfloc
Single infusion mash at 150, with mashout
pH = 5.35 @ 110-degrees
WLP051 Starter (1600 ML)
10.3 ppm O2
68 degrees
I pitched the yeast at 61-degrees, and put the wrap on it. It was 68 and up and running by morning.
The color looks pretty close. We will see!
