Here's a shot of my pilot system for the automated HLT/HERMS.
What I've got here is just an burner orifice on the end of a propane hose. It's controlled by a propane needle valve.
I then took a stainless worm clamp and attached a type-K thermocouple. The way this works is the thermocouple detects if there is a flame before opening the ASCO solenoid. So, in case the pilot gets blown out, the gas won't be left open. See my earlier post for more details on the setup.
I've got it attached to a copper pipe hanger I got from Home Depot, and bent to position things where I want it. The hanger is just held by the burner's screw.
